Zinc Oxide Distribution Class Arrester

Metal Oxide Lighting Arresters in brown/grey procelain manufactured by Rashtriya have no spart gaps and the design is filed proven. Rashtriy's Distribution Arrestrs in ratings of 3KV through 42 KV incorporate the highly non-linear nature of metal oxide veristor.

Key Features

Zinc Oxide valve elements are composed of a specially formulated compound of ZnO and small amounts of other selected metal oxides. These ZnO elements maitain stable characteristics. Accelerated life tests show that arrester losses will not increase during an arrester's service life when exposed to a continuous steady state voltage. Also the low protective characteristics are maintained and equipment protections is never compromised.

  • Nominal discharge current: 10 KAP Reference current : 1.5 KAP
  • High current impulse withstand (4/10 usec): 100 KAP
  • Long duration current impulse withstand: 250 AP/200 usec.
  • Energy dissipation capability: 2kJ/kV of rated voltage
  • Watt loss: 0.10 WKV
